By downloading, accessing or using Nefa Connect, these Terms of Service automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the app.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Nefa Connect ("we", "our", "us") governing your use of the Nefa Connect mobile application and related services. By creating an account, downloading, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 where required by local law) to use Nefa Connect. By using the app you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the service under any applicable law.
If we discover that an account belongs to a user below the minimum age, we will terminate that account and delete its data.
Nefa Connect is designed to build real connections. You agree NOT to use the app to:
Violation of these rules may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent termination of your account.
You retain full ownership of all text, images, video, audio, and other media you post.
However, by creating a public post (a "Virus"), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and reproduce that content across our global Infection Map, user feeds, and within the app. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has already been shared by other users or is required to be retained by law.
You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm that you have the rights necessary to post it.
Nefa Connect is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. By using the app you acknowledge that ads may be displayed within the feed, and that Google may collect advertising and device data as described in our Privacy Policy.
The app also relies on third-party service providers including Supabase (authentication, database, storage), Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), and PowerSync (offline synchronisation). Your use of the app is also subject to their applicable terms.
We do not conduct criminal background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.
Always exercise caution when sharing personal information or meeting anyone you have connected with through the app. Use the in-app Block and Report features if you feel uncomfortable or witness abuse.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban your account, at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or our community standards.
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
The app and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nefa Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or reputation arising from your use of the app or your interactions with other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify you through the app, and continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You will be asked to accept updated Terms before continuing to use Nefa Connect.
