Nefa Connect ("we", "our", "us") operates the Nefa Connect mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app. By using Nefa Connect, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Personal Information
- Account Data: Email, username, display name, profile photo, bio, location (if provided)
- Authentication: Firebase Authentication tokens, OAuth tokens (Google, Apple)
- Profile: Hobbies, profession, interests for matchmaking
Usage & Content Data
- Posts & Interactions: Content you create, spread, resist, comments, likes
- Social Graph: Friend requests, connections, chat messages
- Location: Approximate location (city-level) for proximity features and epidemic map (optional)
Technical Data
- Device Info: Device model, OS version, app version, unique device identifiers
- Analytics: App usage patterns, feature engagement, crash reports
- Push Notifications: FCM/APNs tokens for notifications
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and improve the app's core features (feed, map, chat, matchmaking)
- Authenticate and secure your account
- Personalize your experience (matchmaking, content ranking)
- Show the epidemic map and viral spread visualization
- Send push notifications (messages, friend requests, viral alerts)
- Display personalized ads via Google AdMob (see section 6)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only in these cases:
- Service Providers: Firebase (auth, database, storage, messaging), Google AdMob (ads), analytics providers — under strict data processing agreements
- Public Content: Posts you spread, your public profile, and username are visible to other users
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect rights/safety
- Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale (with notice)
5. Your Rights & Controls
- Access & Edit: Edit your profile, bio, hobbies, and location in-app
- Delete Account: Use the "Delete Account" option in Settings — this permanently removes your data within 30 days
- Location: Disable location access in device settings
- Notifications: Manage push notifications in device settings
- Data Export: Contact support to request a copy of your data
6. Advertising & Analytics
Nefa Connect displays ads via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization).
We use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage. No personally identifiable information is sent to analytics.
7. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active
- Posts & interactions: Retained unless you delete them or your account
- Chat messages: Retained until deleted by you or the other party
- Analytics & crash logs: Retained up to 14 months
- Deleted account data: Purged within 30 days of deletion request
8. Children's Privacy
Nefa Connect is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us to have it deleted.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country (including the United States). We ensure appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) are in place for such transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
